Justice Anthony Kennedy,authored the US Supreme Court’s ruling legalizing same-sex marriage. He closed his ruling and opinion with one of the most beautiful passages you’ll likely read in a court case. I totally teared up, and it’s a passage I’ll be incorporating into many marriage ceremonies. No union is more profound than marriage, for it embodies the highest ideals of love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice, and family. In forming a marital union, two people become something greater than once they were. Marriage embodies a love that may endure even past death.
