My Own Wedding

On September 7th, 2012, I was lucky enough to marry the love of my own life and we wanted to share a few of our smartphone photos with you!

Matt & Lee in Geiranger. I knew I wanted to take this photo of Lee and I on our wedding day months before we were even in the country. Considering we had a tripod weighed down on the edge of a cliff to photograph us, also on the edge of a cliff, we didn’t do too badly! This photo has some wow factor and I like to give all of my clients that, cliff or not.

I spent many years photographing musicians from Nick Cave, Iggy Pop, Muse and lots of other big names. One of the shots that most resonates with people however is of the feet of punk dancers at a terribly lit punk gig. It’s an incredibly simplistic shot that breaks all the boundaries in music. I was crouching in the first row with people jumping all over me. I turned around and took this shot. It was the first music assignment I was sent by a magazine to cover.

Jokulsarlon, Iceland. My wife and I traveled throughout Iceland after getting married in Norway. It was the most creatively fulfilling place I have ever been, and I am not sure that a place has ever excited me or made me feel as alive as Iceland did. It really is an immensely beautiful place that calls for me every day!
